| Borderline Comment: Pete Vickers is the driving force behind Cry Wolf and has been involved with various bands and music projects since the Seventies. Cry Wolf started gigging March 1995, doing their own versions of popular/classic rock-blues numbers. Original guitarist Mick Lloyd''s influence of Gary Moore and Hendrix, combined with Pete and Andy Dawson''s driving rhythm section made CRY WOLF one of the tightest, most powerful rock trios around at the time, favourites for many motor cycle rallys and top rock venues. After two years the guys were persuaded to form tribute band "EZ Top", but after another copule of years decided that they wanted to get back to "being themselves". Another busy year followed during which the band recorded a live CD, played the Americana festival and the first "Fill Your Head With Rock" festival in 2000. Pete then joined ex-Budgie drummer Pete Boot and formed Boot 66, who played at The Borderline in 2002. Cry Wolf got back together at the start of 2003 with Pete and Dave being joined by Jack Daniels drummer Pete Moseley. The band plays a mixture of covers from bands such as The Police, David Bowie, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton and The Beatles, plus versions of numbers from Jeff Healey and Roty Gallagher.
